Every inch of the property is mind-blowingly beautiful and tastefully decorated. The host, Hugh, went above and beyond to make our stay super special. The free wine and dinner were jaw-droppingly delicious. The location is remote and surrounded by stunning nature, perfect for star-gazing. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

the hotel itself is beautifully decorated, the bedroom is comfortable. the rooms are well decorated and lovely and have excellent views of the mountain. the property is situated in the remote location very close to nature. plus, this hotel is so close to lake, forrest and a field and the shore of lake ohau. when i am in ohau, i like staying here.

We loved the rooms with twin beds. The B&B is situated in a stunning and fantastic location, away from the hustle and bustle. Additionally, it is conveniently located midway between Twizel, the forest near the lake, and the beautiful garden.

With two of the bedrooms featuring ensuite bathrooms and the other two boasting a balcony, guests have a variety of options to choose from. the rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and offer both comfort and charm. the hosts, Hugh and his parents, provide exceptional service and make guests feel like old friends. the breakfast is a true highlight, with a generous plate of eggs Benedict, homemade meatballs, yogurt, fruits, and tea or coffee. the property features a hot tub for relaxation and stunning views of Lake Ohau.

The access road to the property may be a bit challenging to drive on with regular cars due to its bumpy nature.

Everything, but it was our host that made this stay special - he was interested and interesting. Brilliant breakfast. We enjoyed the opportunity led by TAY to walk by the lake. Excellent views of Mt Cook glowing at sunset from nearby. Thank you Hugh.

My partner and I recently stayed at The Barn for two nights in Ohau. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by hosts Hugh and Dwayne. The property itself is beautifully decorated with a cozy and homey atmosphere. Our bedroom had stunning lake views and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Hugh and Dwayne were fantastic hosts, providing helpful information and delicious meals. The highlight of our stay was the peaceful walk along the lake at sunset and stargazing from our balcony. The Barn truly exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return.

We were greeted by Hugh by the main road and treated like family throughout our stay. the dinner and breakfast they prepared for us were delicious, even surpassing the offerings of some 5-star hotels. the room and facilities were perfect, and the location was ideal, just a minute's walk from the lake.
